This is a great book. The author is chinese-american. She spent a few years in Doungguan, China, following the life a a few factory girls. These girls moved from a rural area to city life in search of wealth, adventure, meaning, … I like the author’s positive approach. She focuses on the girls lives, their motivations, their interests. I was impressed by the faculty of adaptation of these girls, always finding a way through.
